S.K.A.T.E. Program

WHAT IS S.K.A.T.E.?

SKATERS KEEP ACHIEVING THROUGH EDUCATION (S.K.A.T.E.)! Academic recognition program designed to encourage youth hockey players to strive for excellence in the classroom. Student athletes qualify based on a GPA of 3.0 or higher during either first semester or second quarter.

S.K.A.T.E. Recognition at Shakopee Community Center, Monday, March 18, 2024

S.K.A.T.E. Recognition Event to be held at Shakopee Community Center on Monday, March 18th. Qualifiers were notified by email.

Celebrations begin at 5:30, please check your team schedule below (we had to split up the teams due to the high number of SKATE qualified athletes).

5:30-6:30 SQUIRTS/10U/12U

7:00-8:00 PEEWEE/BANTAM/JR GOLD/ HS GIRLS & BOYS

Please have athletes wear their red jerseys.

If you are unable to attend, goodie bags will be given to your team manager. Any prizes won in the drawing will be in the goodie bag.

ATHLETES - Get recognized, eat pizza, take photos, and have drawings for prizes.

PARENTS - Due to space limitations, we need to limit parent involvement in the event.  We want to have enough space for players and volunteers.

TEAM MANAGERS - One manager for each team is needed at the event to ensure everything runs smoothly. If the team manager cannot attend, please have another team parent present. Goodie bags will be given to each team manager at the end of the event for distribution.

We look forward to the celebration!

S.K.A.T.E. is a tradition in our hockey association and we are so thrilled to be able to celebrate the success of our student athletes on the ice and in the classroom.
