Steps to Obtain SafeSport Certification
All Locker Room Monitors (LRMs) and Team Managers must obtain their SafeSport Certification/Refresher & background check for the current season. (Note: background checks are good for 2 years once you log into the background check site, it will tell you if need to update)
Register as a volunteer with USA Hockey at the above link (free). Proceed to taking SafeSport certification & submitting your background screening.
Complete the SafeSport Training Module or the yearly refresher course: (free)
$30 Fee. Background screening only needs to be completed every 2 years. Log into the NCSI background screening page to see if you are current.
