Saber Sniper Club
The Shakopee Youth Hockey coaches are challenging all players to participate in the Saber Sniper Club. Complete the challenge within your age group and see your name prominently posted in the arena to showcase your hard work on improving your game. Start shooting pucks now!
- What:
- To challenge our youth athletes over the summer/early fall to continue growing their skills while engaging in this optional fun competition.
- When:
- Starts: 6/08/2026
- Ends: 10/02/2026
- NEW FOR THE 2026 OFF-SEASON:
- All players are encouraged to record as many shots as possible and achieve their personal best. While the maximum goal is 10,000, we would like to recognize all players efforts and reward them based on their total shots achieved:
- Gold Level - 10,000 shots
- Silver Level - 7,500 shots
- Bronze Level - 5,000 shots
- GOALIE SPECIFIC BRAGGING RIGHTS!
- Goalies should not only excel at stopping pucks, they should also be able to handle them too. Goalie stickhandling is just as important as it is for players, enabling them to make crucial passes, manage rebounds, clear the zone, and reduce the workload on defenders. Through consistent stickhandling practice, goalies will build confidence and hand-eye coordination while enabling them to not only stop shots but to actively manage the game.
- We encourage all goalies to sign up and practice shots to make it to the top of the goalie leaderboard.
- Additional Details:
- Register at the provided links below for your players age group/level. Each player will create an account and should regularly update with the number of shots taken.
- Shots must be submitted ONLINE every two weeks (minimum).
- All players, regardless of age/level, are encouraged to record as many shots as possible with a goal of 10,000 in the of-season.
