Mite Team Managers

Thank you for volunteering to be your players team manager. The team manager role is critical to making the season fun and enjoyable for players, parents, and coaches.

What does a team manager do you ask....

Responsibilities include:

  • Communicating updates to your team; such as when and where team pictures will be held, team recognition nights at Shakopee varsity games, coordinating team gatherings, and creating the all important snack schedule.
  • Communicating with your coaches about mite spotlight submissions and other team logistics
  • Distributing jerseys, socks, and snacks
  • Creating the team poster for the year end jamboree (no you do not have to be crafty or creative to make a great poster!)
  • Any other administrative and logistical needs that may come up during the season.


After you register your player and have indicated your interest in managing, you will be contacted to confirm your interest and assignment. This may not be done immediately but rest assured we will be in touch with next steps before the season begins.


All managers are REQUIRED to complete the USA Hockey Safe Sport certification before you can be assigned to your team. If you have any questions prior to volunteering please reach out to Cece and Amanda using the link below, we are here to help!


Some helpful definitions:

Lower Mites = Rookie, M1 and M2

Upper Mites = M3, M4 and 8U girls
