Try Hockey for Free dates are not set yet for Summer of 2026. Changes for 2026: THFF will not be held during the month of June. Information will be posted on our website once dates are confirmed.
2025 Try Hockey for Free!
- Try hockey for free is for boys and girls aged 4 - 10 interested in giving hockey a try!
- Experience on ice skates is ideal but not necessary.
- Players may have little or no hockey experience.
- Equipment to use for the clinic is available, however, sizes are provided on a first come first serve basis.
- We will do our best to fit your player as close to their size as possible.
- If your player will be needing equipment, please be sure to arrive 45 minutes prior to their first session to allow enough time for fitting.
- During Try Hockey, Shakopee Youth Hockey Association coaches will be on the ice and will lead the players through hockey skills and games.
- Only safe sport certified SYHA coaches are allowed to be on the ice during this time, no parent volunteers.
- Parents, you get to sit back, relax and watch them fall in love with the sport.
