2026 Board Member Applications
As we wrap up another season, we’re reminded that youth hockey is about so much more than wins and losses. It’s about the kids—how they grow, how they learn to support one another, and how they develop into strong, respectful, and caring individuals both on and off the ice.
Below, you’ll find the link to the members who have stepped forward to serve on the SYHA Board of Directors. These individuals are willing to give their time, energy, and heart to help guide our association forward, and that commitment deserves our appreciation.
Board member voting will take place during our End-of-Season Social on Thursday, March 26th. Each member will receive a secure voting link from ElectionBuddy via email at 7:30 PM. Voting will be open for 30 minutes and will close promptly at 8:00 PM, with results announced shortly after. Each member is allowed one vote.
As you consider your vote, we encourage you to think beyond resumes and look at the bigger picture. This association thrives when leaders work together—when they listen, collaborate, and respect that there are many ways to contribute and many paths to success. The strongest boards are built on teamwork, shared purpose, and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of our players.
At the heart of everything we do is a simple but powerful mission: take care of our kids. We have the privilege of watching them grow—not just as hockey players, but as teammates, leaders, and people. We want them to take pride in themselves, in each other, and in what it means to represent Shakopee Hockey.
This community has a proud tradition of strong families and dedicated volunteers. The next group of board members will have the opportunity—and responsibility—to build on that foundation. We’re looking for leaders who are collaborative, organized, and deeply passionate about the sport, the kids, and our association.
Thank you for taking the time to be part of this process and for continuing to support the future of Shakopee Hockey.
Application videos will be posted soon—stay tuned!
